Health and Hygiene Session

“Healthy girls, empowered women, stronger nations.”

Darshan Academy, Sundargarh, organized a specialized counselling session for female students focusing on menstrual hygiene management and cervical cancer awareness. The initiative sought to disseminate scientific knowledge, dismantle prevailing taboos, and inculcate health-conscious practices among adolescents.

The session was facilitated by Mrs. Gudia Mishra, Trustee of Narsingh Tripathy Charitable Trust and PhD scholar in Human Resource Management, who has been at the forefront of women’s empowerment and community health advocacy. In her discourse, she emphasized the imperatives of personal hygiene, early detection, and preventive strategies, while also creating a dialogic platform where students could articulate concerns without inhibition.

This intervention not only augmented the students’ health literacy but also fostered a climate of awareness, self-efficacy, and proactive well-being, thereby aligning with the academy’s vision of holistic student development.
