International Yoga Day was observed on June 21 with the theme of “yoga for well-being”. Yoga is an ancient meditative technique that cleanses, heals and harmonises the body from the core. It is a practice that is widely accepted for its tremendous capacity to bring about a significant improvement in mind and body balance, wellness of the mind, and an overall sense of calmness. Darshan Academy, Sundargarh celebrated International Yoga Day among the students and teachers to create awareness about yoga and its many benefits. All the students and teachers were present in the online session, which began with a warm speech by respected M.K. Pandey (Principal) about yoga and its benefits. Under the guidance of Gurpreet Kaur, a guest yoga teacher from DA, Ludhiana, students did yoga asanas. Regular yoga practice will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually.
